Nazim Gashi

Nazim is an ESRC-funded PhD research student in the School of Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Southampton. His research focuses on applying geospatial methods to improve household survey sampling design, sampling frame development, geospatial automation of survey operations, and the anonymisation of georeferenced survey data, particularly in settings where conventional census-based sampling frames are outdated or incomplete.
Nazim holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Prishtina, Kosovo, and an MSc in Geography with a specialisation in Geomorphology from the University of Pécs, Hungary.
He has professional experience working with national statistical offices and international partners worldwide on household survey implementation, GIS integration, geospatial data analysis, and methodological development.
